The lifespan of trading cards, or their shelf life, depends on various factors, primarily including the card material, manufacturing process, temperature and humidity of the storage environment, light conditions, and storage methods.

Generally speaking:

  • Paper cards: If properly stored, they can last for several years or even more than a decade. However, exposure to harsh environments such as sunlight, humidity, or acidic or alkaline substances will significantly shorten their shelf life.
  • Cards made of special materials: Such as Ultraman cards, if stored in a dry, dark environment with a suitable temperature, can also be preserved for a longer period. Poor storage conditions may cause the cards to fade, deform, or become damaged.

To extend the lifespan of your trading cards, we recommend the following measures:

  • Avoid harsh environments: Do not expose cards to direct sunlight or humid environments, and keep them away from acidic or alkaline substances.
  • Proper storage: Use card storage boxes or card albums to store cards to prevent them from bending, folding, or suffering physical damage.
  • Regular checks: Regularly check the condition of the cards to promptly identify and address any potential problems, such as stains or scratches.
